At the initiative of the Departmental Service of Solidarity and Integration of the Pyrénées Atlantiques, the goal of the action “Rapprochement de l'art et du social” is to enable users of the service, of all ages and profiles, to access a local cultural offer, and to clear up the preconceptions and unlock the barriers that keep them away from art and culture.
In this context, the discovery journey “From Tale to Image” was made possible by participants' appropriation of tales, myths and legends of our territory and allowed them to meet different professionals working locally in the world of animated cinema.
It consisted of a series of 4 workshops
Story reading and choice of tales: “La lamina et le tailleur de pierres” and “Le garçon aux grandes oreilles”
Film writing workshop
Storyboard workshop
Voicing and dubbing workshop
Disnosc was in charge of animating and supervising the workshop on storyboarding the tales.
Two collaborators of Disnosc, Claire Gager and Lukas Nesprias, allowed some fifteen users to put in images the film's script they had prepared during the previous workshop. These storyboards were then mounted and prepared for voice dubbing, to get the cinematics ready to be animated.
