Animated Documentary Series in development written by Marjory Ott and directed by Nathan Otaño, co-produced by Kestu Films and Disnosc
On August 1, 1914, two weeks after the end of school, the tocsin rings out. It is 5pm. In Mont-de-Marsan, Landes, as everywhere else in France, all men over the age of 18 are mobilized. They must join the armed troops to fight the enemy. Some of them have just graduated from the Lycée Victor Duruy and, along with many of their former students, are preparing to leave for the battlefields. For some, it's the start of 4 years of war, while others won't make it past the first six months. How did these young people from the Landes region cope with this upheaval? How do you leave everything behind when you're just beginning your adult life?
